Compare Ohio internet prices before you switch

Prices checked October 31, 2026 · Provider-published offers · Address-level availability required

Internet ads often show a first-year rate, an AutoPay price, or a bundle discount. Compare the rate that actually applies to your household, then add equipment, activation, taxes, fees, and the post-promotion price.

Scope: These are advertised prices, not a quote for a particular address. Availability, upload speed, taxes, fees, and final checkout price can vary. We have not tested these providers. This guide has no sponsored placements or affiliate links.

What the first-year arithmetic does—and does not—tell you

At the advertised Spectrum rates, the internet-only base charges for 12 months are $360 for Internet 100, $480 for Internet 500, and $720 for Internet 1 Gig. These figures exclude any add-on Wi-Fi fee, taxes, activation, and the price after the promotion. Adding $10/month for Wi-Fi to Internet 100 or 500 would add $120 over that first year.

T-Mobile’s $50 advertised AutoPay rate works out to $600 for 12 months before any applicable taxes or fees. The $35 rate requires a qualifying T-Mobile voice line; compare the voice line’s full cost too, rather than treating the internet discount as free.

Put the actual checkout and post-promotion prices into our household bill calculator. Include one-time costs, equipment you already own, and any cancellation or device balance from your current provider.

Before you order

  1. Check availability using the exact service address. Statewide or citywide coverage statements do not guarantee service at a specific home.
  2. Open the provider’s broadband label and checkout screen. Confirm download and upload speeds, latency, data policies, taxes, fees, and equipment charges.
  3. For an introductory rate, write down the promotion end date and the regular rate afterward. Do not assume the first-year price continues.
  4. For a wireless home plan, check coverage and performance where the gateway will sit. A mobile coverage map alone does not prove the home-internet plan is available.
  5. Compare the same number of months on both plans. Add installation, activation, equipment, lost bundle discounts, early termination, and remaining device payments.
